Brief:
The front gate to the Talpur Haveli was constructed in 1793 by Mir Muhammad Ali Khan Talpur the founder of the Tando Muhammad Khan. The massive Shahi Gate, also known as the Garho Gate, (Red Gate) which was constructed by Mir Muhammad Khan Doyam, opens to the haveli. It is located in the Tando Muhammad Khan city. The structure features colonial-style architectural elegance, craftsmanship with fine details. At the cornices of the gate, a load-bearing structure has an odd combination of brickwork and Kashi tiles. The Shahi Gate is further influenced by various floral brick patterns, bird-shaped bricks, a small dome in the middle with two minarets on the roof.
